Welcome the holidays in wonderful spirits with a concert of great choral and orchestral music! Philharmonia Northwest joins Kirkland Choral Society for this beloved annual concert, emphasizing pleasure and connection with family, friends, and community. Designed by KCS Artistic Director Finalist Brennan Michaels, this year’s program is a delightful potpourri featuring favorite carols, Vaughan Williams’ exquisite Fantasia on Christmas Carols, and Hailstork’s exuberant Shout For Joy. Special guests include organist Elisabeth Ellis, saxophonist Soren Hamm, and the Lake Washington HS Lyrica Choir.
Come experience this musical celebration and remember why PNW and KCS’s holiday concerts have become an annual tradition for so many!

BRENNAN MICHAELS, CONDUCTOR

Dr. Brennan Michaels is conductor of the Concert Choir at Northwest University. He also serves as Director of Music and Worship at Bellevue Presbyterian Church, where he conducts multiple choral and instrumental ensembles and oversees a robust K-12 youth choral program. Before relocating to Washington, Dr. Michaels was Director of Choirs at Live Oak Classical School in Texas and Sartell High School in Minnesota. From 2012-2015, he served as Artistic Director of the Minneapolis chamber choir From Age to Age. Dr. Michaels received his D.M.A. in choral conducting from Michigan State University, his M.M. from Baylor University, and his B.M. from Concordia College.
